Viva Carlos Blog Hop - Make Your Mare a Baby Moma

 Breeding is very strange to me.  I am extremely uneducated in all things it involves, and it scares me.  I have seen many a good mare lost, and babies born with bad defects and health issues.  I do however think I would be excellent at pairing horses to make new superstars....but alas I don't know if I will ever delve into that world.

L at Viva Carlos has challenged us to create our own "fake" baby!  What fun...but also easy for me, because I have been pining over this stallion for some time.  I love him, I love his babies.  Every one I have seen has an absolute brilliant jump and they are put together beautifully.  One of his offspring was the OHTA Pre Training Champion this year - both at the Championship event and for year end, and I think he is only 5.

 Guaranteed Gold is a registered Cremello Thoroughbred stallion.  He stands at True Colours Farm.  From their site;
Guaranteed Gold is a 16.1hh 1998 cremello Thoroughbred stallion, combining the best attributes of his sire - Milkie's Desire and his dam - Distingold. With hundreds of thousands of Thoroughbreds being entered into the Jockey Club stud book, this blue-eyed, cream-coloured stallion was the first one of his kind to be registered with the Jockey Club. Guaranteed Gold is a Bronze Premium Stallion with the CSHA (Canadian Sport Horse Association). He is also listed with the AQHA, APHA, and ApHC. Guaranteed Gold is being offered to North American breeders as the finest cremello Thoroughbred stallion standing at stud with a proven performance and progeny history! He has proven himself in the show ring, and now in the breeding shed with foals that inherit his brilliance, wonderful temperament, conformation, gorgeous head and fabulous movement and are starting to make their own marks in the performance ring! Some of his youngsters have also entered the breeding shed themselves and are producing simply stunning foals into the next generation as well!

    Pairing this guy with Penny will not only produce a %100 Palomino (which if you don't know yet, I have a serious LOVE for golden horses), it would produce a great jumper (x2), great conformation (x2), a perfect size for me around 16.1 or 16.2, and a full Thoroughbred who can event with some flash.  Stunner horse for sure.

Even just writing this post is making me excited and wanting to breed Penny so I will leave at this; pictures of his offspring.  Prepare to drool...
   *Disclaimer - these pictures were taken off of Google image search - my apologies to anyone who wants their pics removed, but I am just singing your praise :)

  1. He's my pick, too - not that I would ever ever breed my mutt of a mustang, but I admit to being curious what he'd look like crossed on a bay roan. Such gorgeous conformation and movement.

  5. I'm totally confused.... how is a pure Thoroughbred listed with the AQHA? What does listed mean? Sorry for being dense lol.
